I recently got back into BASIC on my Ti 84+SE and have discovered that I can turn my programs into Apps. I am currently working on an app for my thermofluids course and need a settings menu. I expect that I need to utilize appvars. I have two questions:

1) How would you develop a custom menu? This menu must have selectable buttons and input boxes. See the chi-square menu for an example (Stat-Wizard must be on).

2) How do apps in general interact with Appvars? What kind of data is stored in appvars - lists, variables, strings, etc.
To answer (2), an AppVar is for general purpose data storage. You can put whatever you want into it, but you're also responsible for reading it back out.
