There was also the usual question that comes every year asking why is there no 68K round. Razz
Apparently Lionel encouraged a few French-language authors who released 68k programs only in the French community to release on ticalc.org, but they either didn't see the point or felt like avoiding the English-language community. I'm sad about that, as I really like seeing new, cool 68k programs.
Princetontion.tibd insists on keeping the 68K community alive by continuing releasing Voyage 200 programs. It would be nice if he tried to take it a step further regarding originality, though, because the few 68K calculator users that are left are not necessarily gonna download three ASCII tunnel clones when a 2D ASM/C Gran Turismo clone, Megacar-style, is available next door. There is also that guy who updates Zelda on ticalc.org, but progress is sparse.
From what I've seen of princetonlion.TIBD's work so far, he's still trying to develop a good, methodical way to learn programming techniques and apply them to writing functional programs; am I out of date on this? Regardless, I still wish we had more 68k developers, even though I know it's essentially a dead platform in terms of users and developers at this point.

I think procastinating might be the main issue <.<
It looks like the run-off/tie-breaker voting is done, because the poll on ticalc.org's front page has changed once again. The new poll asks how you think POTY voting should be done in the future: as it has always been, categorized by program type instead of calculator model (ie, best game of the year, best utility of the year, etc), or discontinued entirely. I feel that the current system provides the most level playing field between programs of similar technical achievement, so I voted for the status quo. What do you guys think?
The status quo should remain in my opinion as well.
I'm going to vote that the status quo remains in place as well. Smile
