I have no clue what I'm doing.

Someone please send help.
What version of Unity are you using and what are you using it for?

Mobile game?

I've made a fair bit of stuff in Unity but it's been a few years since I really touched it.

I'd recommend downloading some free complete projects off the Unity Asset store to see how things are structured for a start.
I'm glad you're testing out Unity! I'm with tr1p1ea: download some projects and poke around, or download a few assets, drop them into a scene, and experiment with adding some scripts to those objects. We're here for specific questions!
And when you're feeling onboarded: https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/57748

Very Happy

You beat me to it - I had to restrain myself from suggesting that in my own post. Wink
I switched to godot - unity is much to gross for everything.

Thanks for the advice!
I found the same thing to be true for myself as well: Godot feels better to work in. If I didn’t enjoy making my own games from scratch (engine abstraction layers *always* feel weird to me), I’d be using Godot for a lack of better options Smile Have lots of fun!
