This summer, I'm going to be building a glass top table. I'm going to be lighting the inside, but I'm not sure what the best way to do this would be. The finished product will hopefully look something like this (but without flashing. i just want solid lighting)

Can I just buy a bunch of these and wire them together?

And how do you connect them? Is there some type of holder, or should i just drill a bunch of tiny holes in the bottom of the table?
You could get a breadboard to hold the LEDs (just get wire clips to hold them together). Then you'd need to power it with either an A/C jack or 9v batteries.
You might be better off with some fluorescent bulbs with a diffuser...

I was going to suggest this as well, but they'd be a b*tch to work with if one goes out. LEDs seem a bit more practical.

Also, Foamy, they do sell strings of LED lights. You could just buy a few of those and wrap it around the inside. Hell, you could buy a few cheap-o ones, open them up, and then mess with the hardware yourself Smile -- Give you a little jump start on the hardware, instead of buying and connecting each individual LED. But hell, putting each individual LED on a string of lights is part of the fun Very Happy
True enough. Why do a do-it-yourself project if you take all of the shortcuts anyway?

Is replacing a light bulb too hard for you? Razz

So you're more productive?
Yeah, but the _most_ productive method is to get an expert to do it for you.

Assuming you have enough cash that is.

What qualifies them as an expert? Usually nothing, other than they get paid for it and you don't.

I am too lazy to actually make my own post so instead I quote people and then don't say anything new

And sometimes a degree.

Do you know anywhere good to get them?
