yeah, the newsletter needs to get out. And most of the posts are gone. Kerm is still finishing it up, but I don't know how much there is left to do.
I'm holding on until we can get the forums restored.
I doubt that the posts will be restored. Kerm said he tried everything...
Yeah, this is the best I can get it. I'll search MSN caches for the newsletter content though.

OT:

If you know that someone needs to reply to a post, don't lock the topic!!

And on that note: You need to set up a page with links to each edition of them. Nothing fancy, jus so they are browseable here, since they are one of this sites babies...

Aight.

@Jon: I have something I am going to write up, it will take me some time to compile it all and stuff, but once it is done, I will give it to you. It is about using strings for hit detection instead of matrices, and I will have it provide all kinds of info. Let you know when this is completed. (Don't know if you want to use it as an article, or as a 'tips-and-tricks- post...

Oh, and thanks for the mention in that last letter...

Well, I already have the basics of it up: http://tifreakware.calcgames.org/special.htm

I just need to clean it up a bit, since I was in a hurry to get it wrote, and the guy got it after that much info, but I would like to make it comparative to matrices...

Yes, I'm quite satisfied with how it's turning out.

Your tutorial. When do you think it will be done? When it is, I'll add it to the Guide.

I am not really sure. I will try to make the next release of the guide, but it will probably be the one after... Got to make sre everything is true on calc before puting it out to public. Don't want to make myself look like Hays...

I am glad that you agree.

I am sure if they were still around, they would be asking to get in the membership...

Absolutely. And they probably will pop up again at some point just to annoy the rest of the community that loathes them.

I was wondering, if anyone had time, if they could do a review for some of my games for my site? I don't want my games to be the only one in the archives with out a review...

Just get OpenOffice.org (whose web address is conveniently the same as its name). It comes with PDF exportation abilities.

Then can't you make it?
I'm not going to be at a non-locked public computer until Tuesday.

On second thought, I don't know if I could make it with Jon strict, but fair rules on formatting. Sorry for the inconvience.

No, Jon didn't understand what you meant. He meant he didn't think he could put it together following the strict but fair grammatical and stylistic rules we have.

Ah, ok. BTW Rivereye, I think it's safe to say I'm not going to offended if someone comments on my grammar, so criticize all you want.
