Hey everyone I am new to Cemetech. Anyways I have tried to start ASM programming about 92384209384029384 times
and have not suceeded at all. Could someone point me in the right direction to start.

By the way I am using Windows XP if that makes a difference.
Hello welcome to cemetech, many members here are avant ASM'ers, and can point you in the right direction (sadly I am not one of them =[...)

Alot of links on the

I DID IT IT FINALLY WORKED!!!
I do not know what I did differently but a file finally COMPILED!

imho, actually setting up the assembler is usually one of the hardest things to do and may be why a lot of people give up initially. I'm glad it worked out ok for you
just ask questions whenever you run into trouble.

That was one of my problems.... I will get around to it eventually though! I swear! (Atleast if I find my calculator...)

Neither did I, but I would guess thats because I (we?) were able to do crazy things like being able to follow step-by-step directions without screwing it up
true, the ASM is 28 days did it perfectly for me (actually, now I need to get around to setting up a Linux environment, but that is on the bottom of my list.
Man looking at this post was all I needed, thanks for the links. I had a basic understanding of assembly but for the life of me couldn't compile... Until now. Turned out to be because of bad inc. files. Thanks.

Ya I was just wanting to learn ASM in order to produce faster programs and what not. Also the use of sprites and other ASM functions seems useful.
