Ah yes, in the dorms we stayed in (3 bedrooms and bathroom) the rooms each had a cable jack, 2 ethernet ports, and a phone port.
THE DORMS ARE THAT BIG! (Do you remember which building you stayed in?)
EDIT: And I found a crossover network cable at a nearby RadioShack.

How does the amount of connections in a room have any significance on the physical dimensions of the room?
