Well, Intel's chips are just two Core 2 Duo's dropped onto a single piece of silicon, whereas the AMD ones are re-engineered, "native" quad-core CPUs. It will be an interseting battle, for sure... way too early to predict Smile

Well, based on that statement I'd say that AMD has the initial advantage.
Definitely, what with how AMD dual cores outperform Pentium D, I'd say it's no contest. Although, because Core 2 isn't nearly the disaster Netburst was, I suppose it might be pretty close.
