Rivereye: you need to match voltage, current, pin size, and plug polarity.

Yeah, like a lot of Toshiba computers have interchangeable adapters.
my CF-27 toughbook and my dad's company toughbook (CF-29 I think), use the same adapter, in most cases, if they have a right angle at the end and are shallow, it won't go in due to the case, but that is minor.

yeah, I think it responded a little fast.
