Nooo!! My .... precious!
There are so many Visual Basic programmers. It is so powerful compared to its simplicity. And, with Visual Studio, it is easier than ever. Visual Studio Express already makes Visual Basic incredibly easy; I can't imagine how easy it is with Visual Studio Professional. I could probably create a whole OS just by dragging and dropping items, and using a few wizards. Wink

And yes, Perl is referred to as a "write-only language".
Yup, I have Visual Studio Express 2006; it seems surprisingly good for a Microsoft product.
Do you mean Visual Studio Express 2005? Wink

/me checks...
Ah, I did indeed mean that.
yeah, it is an easy language to learn and use. I had a lot of fun making some interesting stuff with it a few years ago. nothing to brag about, and lost now.

The syntax is actually easy. It's the regular expressions, the strength of the language, that look all funky. I'll see how well I can read the code next month. Laughing

Optimized assembly code is also hard to read (that's where comments come in handy....).

Visual Basic .NET is fairly easy to read though.
