To fellow HP Prime owners: Why is it so difficult to take the HP Prime out of its case? Am I doing something incorrectly? Is there anything I can do to make it easier?
By take it out of its case, do you mean that you are trying to access the raw circuit boards (if you are, may I know why)?

If you are talking about the slide-on case, I do agree. In comparison to my other calculators, except for the TI-92s, it has the hardest case to get off. I think this is a good thing though because I do not want to lose my slide cases.
Flip the calculator over and put it in your hands such that both of your thumbs touch the bottom part of the calc. So at this point your thumbs are ready to press downwards relative to you, the calculator’s uncovered back is facing you, and it would look upside down to somebody standing in front of you looking at you.
To make it easier, use your nails or a small part of your thumb to hook onto the “top” edge of the calc relative to you. Now press both thumbs downwards with a moderate amount of force. And it should come off quite easily. Same process for taking it off when the screen&keypad is uncovered.

Thank you so much! I was trying to grab onto the sides of the calculator to get it out and was failing miserably.

I would create a new topic for this so more people will see it.

No worries! You’ll find that the old TI wisdom does not apply in many parts of the HP Prime, for the better or for the worse.
