No, i did not infact forget 🙂. So, after careful deliberation, i have decided to provide more info on the way the compiler will work. I decided that i would acutally put it on the calc, and that ill have a program thatl read your 8xp files with python code in them, then convert it into ASM. im still unsure how to make te asm executable, but so far i do infact have a plan!
Why not just port Cython to the 84?
Because i want to go overkill (and a true compiler to ASM is faster)
Uh Cython is a compiler, isn't it?
What if you made a development suite (similar to eZ80 studio) for python, for the full experience? You could save and load programs into appvars, and possibly make a converter to convert text into appvars. I would also be willing to help with some stuff (provided it is in C) 🙂
Since im not the best at any of the above lanugages this is probably gonna be unoptimized, but yeah your help would be great as i am horrible at full suites

Also I would need some help to create the program that actually turns the compiled ASM into an executable file since I don't know how any of those headers or any of that works
