I have no experience in building caculators or electronics. What do you recommend to get me started . My goals are to build and modify the TI-84 Plus

That is quite the undertaking for someone with no experience. It also sounds like a project with little use case besides enabling cheating, which is not at all condoned on Cemetech or similar community sites. Even if that's not your intent, understand that folks here may be a bit hesitant to help with this due to recent events.
