So a few months a go, I found a video saying how to connect your pc to your calculator, so I watched it and I downloaded
https://github.com/mcuee/libusb-win32/releases and
https://zadig.akeo.ie/ and installed a "driver" into my calculator, right when I did it my calculator got disconnected from ti connect CE, and i since I was on Windows, the ti 84 CE calculator driver didn't show up, but it made a sound when I plugged it in (when I plug a USB device in it always makes a sound) so then I tried a different computer, and it worked, but every time I tried it on this pc, it never connects to ti connect CE, or the Windows drivers area. So I realized it was this pc's problem. Is there anything I can do to fix this? If not, can you give me TI connect CE alternatives?
Note: Sadly, I Couldn't Find The YouTube Video
Ti-connect CE shouldn't require any external drivers to function. I installed TI-connect CE and it worked right out of the box
Yes I know, but like the driver like messed up my pc, which probably made my pc not let any calculator connect to ti connect ce
Zadig replaces the driver associated with a device, so setting up a libusb driver replaced the driver that TI Connect uses so TI Connect can't see the calculator anymore.
If you go into the Windows Device Manager with your calculator connected, find the device representing your calculator then select "Uninstall Device" on it and reconnect your calculator, that will deassociate the libusb driver. At that point you should be able to reassociate TI's driver, probably most easily done by reinstalling TI Connect.
It is possible to use both drivers with a "filter driver," but documentation on that is so sparse I always avoid it.
I don't see anything that says TI 84 plus CE or anything, I see an "unknown device" in other devices, but i also see "libsub-wins-32 devices" on there, should I uninstall that too?
edit: i forgot to check under those devices, i see my calculator device in it, so sorry!
Every time i try to uninstall my calculator, and replug it, its still under the libsub-wins-32 devices
Should I disable the calculator device? Or should I do something else I can do?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
I just had to turn the calculator off then uninstall, and it was gone, and I tried TI connect CE, and it was showing my calculator!!! I've been trying for months and I couldn't get it to work until you told me what to do. So I really appreciate it!
