How about lets build a shell centered around simplicity, ease of use, and functionality.
Really, we don't need a shell packed with functions (like DoorsCS), what we want is a shell with the simplicity of AlphaCS, and the features of DoorsCS.

Hope you assembly programmers can handle this. Rolling Eyes
I think all shells were designed with that in mind. The developers just had a different idea of what's simple, feature rich, and easy to use. You'll should sketch out on paper (or computer) what design you'd like to see.

I think you'll find it's extremely difficult to find a UI design that everyone likes. There's a whole profession around this called UX design.
Is there a specific kind of calculator that you're hoping to have this kind of a shell for?
i would assume it's for the ce because that's the most common, but maybe not

anyways i think ceashell is the best for the ce
A UI mockup would be great--VYSION 2 has a "desktop layout" functionality, that lets you effectively arbitrarily change the whole UI to look like whatever you want, even other shells, so I could try to work with that a bit.

With that said, what specifically makes Cesium and CEaShell hard to use? Having a feature-rich shell with an extremely simple user interface is a bit of a paradox, in my opinion.
I only owned a ti-84+, (non CE), so I really just liked to see DCS7 to get modded somehow(?), just to have a simpler GUI.

The TI84+CE is still a great calc, with VYSION 2 as a great shel for it. So yeah, I was just concerning about the old 84+.

However, I just don't have the asm skills to do it, this was just one of my pleas. :/

Whatever, I just wanted to outline an idea that I thought I needed.
One of the mods that many people like to see to Doors CS is TabFuncs (or hotkeys), which was once external and later integrated into the shell: https://dcs.cemetech.net/Manual/Hotkeys/ . You can press various keys to "click" on the program icons and to scroll, and avoid using the mouse cursor. If you don't remember all the keys, you can press [STAT] to "tab" through the icons.
Thanks! I guess that solves my problems.
What I would love to see would be a Doors CS shell compatible with the TI 84 Plus CE.

I worked on it for a while, but unfortunately, I lacked the time to continue my work for a while, and in the meantime a few great shells were released. I might get back to it someday, but it's not at the top of my TODO list.
