Those are valid feelings and it's a sign you should look into professional help. In my experience, counselers have been able to guide me to understanding myself even when I had no idea why I felt a certain way.

Although I'd recommend a private counselor, your school might have something set up that's free or more affordable. Be very careful with online services like Better Help that get advertised everywhere but don't have a good reputation.

Make sure to set your expectations that this is a long game plan. Also, if you don't feel like your current counselor is helping, there's no shame in asking to transfer to another counselor. Their job is to get you the right help no matter what.
