I need to get this off my chest; my PC is absolute trash, and I mean GARBAGE.

When running any graphically heavy process it TANKS my fps.
To put this in perspective it takes me at least 2 minutes to create a new Minecraft world. not bad! But once loaded I run the game at 60 fps... at HALF RESOLUTION.
My monitor is 2560 x 1440 at 240 hz; But when running Minecraft at that resolution I get at most 20 to 25 fps. Just to get 60 I have to run it at 1280 x 720, any less and it looks weird on my monitor.
The weird thing is my CPU is not all that bad! I can load stuff actually decently fast; heck I can run 100 mods with relative ease! (200 gets iffy because of the RAM requirements)
The downside to this is that my GPU is integrated, so most of it is run on the CPU. So when I have a graphically heavy process, EVERYTHING slows down. Mobs lag, key inputs are slow, things break, it's a whole problem.
And what's really sad about it is that I cannot get a better computer because they're so expensive. I can't add a GPU because my power bank doesn't supply enough to support any more components, and I can't use my monitor to its full potential.

So what are your problems with your computer(s)?
if i'm not on a server I get 2 FPS.
My computer disables the trackpad and keyboard if I tilt it sideways
It has pre-installed malware that you can't get rid of easily. I know manufacturers do this garbage all the time, but putting Windows 11 on their computers is going too far.
my chromebook's wifi randomly stops working sometimes when i wake it up from sleep
My CPU fan died a while back, so I am stuck with 3 GHz on a single thread on a single core. (Well, I can briefly switch it to 4 GHz as long as I watch the temperature & be ready to switch back, but 3 GHz is safe for continuously being at 100%.) Although that is surprisingly less of a problem that I would have expected. Except sometimes opening or moving windows is a little laggy. (& Chromium takes an extra day to compile, maybe.)

Occasionally when Chromium is in fullscreen mode (usually but not always while a video is playing), the GPU (at least, I think it is the GPU's fault) will freeze...audio keeps playing, it keeps responding to the keyboard, etc., but nothing changes on screen...so I have to switch workspaces in X, then switch VTs, then turn my monitor off & back on. If I skip any of those steps, all of X freezes, & then I have to restart X (thankfully not the whole system, but it is still annoying to have to re-open everything & reposition the windows in the right places); but if I follow all of them, it somehow recovers after a few seconds. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But it is mostly only mildly annoying now that I learned how to recover from it.

EDIT: Oh, also, sometimes the screen randomly goes black for a second or two & then returns like nothing happened...that long predates the other GPU problem.
I've got an old Mac desktop and when you turn it on (not from a restart or anything, just turning it on), it takes around two minutes to start up, then another two or three minutes for the mouse and keyboard to start doing anything. Also, it's slow as, like, a really slow thing. Plus it only registers like every other mouse click.

You could add a 75 watt gpu like a GTX 1650, or better yet, buy a GOOD ATX psu for like 75$ and then buy like a used gtx 1080 or something for 100$

Sounds like your HDD is about to die. Back up anything important on it IMMEDIATELY.
My MSI GF75 Thin is pretty okay as far as performance goes (i5-10300H w/GTX 1650 Ti) but the amount of RAM and VRAM (8G and 4G, respectively) is absolutely not enough for anything beyond basic tasks.

Funnily enough it seems as though my Pentium Silver chromebook with integrated graphics performs better at basic tasks.

There is nothing important on it. It's trash and nobody in my family really ever uses it. Also it's been like this since we got it like 5 years ago.
Sometimes, when opening my laptop, Sway acts up, and makes 1 finger down act like none, 2 fingers down like one, and so on. I can either reboot, or exit and reenter Sway.

When I was a freshman in my high school, all Chrome extensions were allowed, with a few force-installed*. Unfortunately, students kept downloading malware extensions onto the Chromebooks, forcing the tech department to resort to manually allowing specific extensions. This meant I couldn't use uBlock Origin, an adblocker I use to keep sane on the web. I had to ask one of the staff to manually whitelist it. Guess what Google is doing now? Removing support of Manifest V2 extensions, like uBlock Origin. I hate that Google is doing it. Why can't I be able to view the web without stressing over the existence of ads on my screen? This is MY device**, so let me use it in a way that is not harmful to me. One time, I forgot to take my meds on vacation on day, then proceeded to have a meltdown over the overabundance of commercials on the TV. For me, adblockers are not a way to use sites without paying for part of the cost, THEY ARE A COPING MECHANISM I USE TO MAKE THE WEB NOT AS STRESSFUL. Imagine going outside to check the mail, only for 8 different salesmen to try to convince you to buy their product ot service. And don't mention the fake download buttons on some sites. So yeah, Google is going to make my life more stressful in school.

In 2023 or 2024, Google changed the look of Gmail to be uglier, at least in my opinion. Luckily, I figured out I could use the Gmail Basic view, and it happened to be twice as fast! Eventually, Google cut off access to it, leaving me with a slower, uglier email experience. I use Gmail for both my personal and school emails, and I would have to get Thunderbird Mobile (formerly K-9 Mail) manually whitelisted in my school district, which I haven't done yet. The same problem is happening to my Cjromebook; every few updates make it a little uglier.

* One of the extensions that came installed actually helped me in a really low time, but I don't want every one of the extensions installed. I won't discuss the reason why.

** My Chromebook is technically my school district's property, but I own every other device I have.
My laptop keys used to get stuck down randomly and the laptop would think that the key was being held down so I needed to use a flathead screw driver and take like 20 minutes to lift a key whenever it happened. Eventually I got mad and mashed my keyboard for like 3 minutes straight and the problem went away.
My old laptop immediately dies if the screen wobbles at all.

My current laptop refuses to clock higher than 800mhz unless it's plugged in. (I don't recommend Surface laptops)

My work laptop had an issue where the screen wouldn't turn on unless I waved a magnet over the TouchPad.

My media PC will randomly black screen and make the gpu get hot by doing a lot of... nothing I think.

My 'gaming' pc is a discarded Dell workstation which must fail to boot exactly three times before it will successfully start. It's rock solid once it's on. Razz
My desktop only boots up when my television is turned on (because I have it plugged in over HDMI (because the HDMI cable I had was longer than the displayport cables I have) and the motherboard won't boot unless there's a HDMI monitor attached).

Also it has major GPU driver issues - when using X11, after a day or two of uptime around 30% of newly created windows would be entirely black. When using wayland, applications would occasionally crash due to a weird synchronization error. After trying a bunch of different software configurations I finally got it to the point where everything I run regularly is stable except Factorio, which crashes about once every 2 hours.

The audio also randomly breaks sometimes when I turn off the monitors, which also stops Discord from playing videos even without sound.
Had a desktop pc, but was forced to buy a whole new computer due to the case and the motherboard
The case couldn't fit a bigger PSU inside it (was adding a dedicated GPU), and connecting it would risk frying the motherboard. I had to return the PSU and GPU.
My computer vent was full of dust so I cleaned it out.
My computer is just slow.

How did you even figure this out?

The 16-year-old SSD in the Dell laptop I've been using as my primary computer for schoolwork failed, what a surprise. Replaced it and the computer is back to life again, so not a very exciting story.

I'm sure you already figured out that this is because the reed switch (or equivalent) that detects if the screen is open or closed (or maybe the associated magnet) is malfunctioning, but like epsilon5, I'm curious how you figured that out.

My current laptop has a loose connection somewhere, because if I bump it in a certain direction or location too hard, my Bluetooth device disappears.

Does Wi-Fi also disappear? Quite strange, if not.
