Recently, I've gotten a dozen messages from random people asking why TI-Connect CE wont detect their calculator. The typical troubleshooting steps aren't working (checking if the cable is power-only, if they're actually using the old TI-Connect, and RAM resetting the calculator). I finally started recommending that people try using an older version of TI-Connect CE (5.6.0 from TI-Planet). I only got a response from one person, but downgrading seemed to fix their issue.

I cannot replicate the issue after uninstalling version 5.6 and installing 6.0 on Windows 10. My calculator was hardware revision M and ran OS 5.4.0. However, I'd like to get a larger sample size so if you can, please try installing TI-Connect CE 6.0.0.2688 and let me know if it detects your calculator.
I use TI Connect CE V6.0 with my TI-84 Plus CE Python with os versions 5.6, 5.7, and 5.8 on Windows 10 with no connection issues at all.
I just tried it out with all my CEs and it was able to detect them (some are pre-M others are M+, they are also different localized variants like 83PCE and 84+CE-T)
Here are the OS versions: 5.1.5, 5.2.0, 5.3.6, 5.4.0 and 5.6.0
Did you ask these users what OS they were using? Might be mac people problems again Rolling Eyes
I have been having problems off and on with mine here is all the information on it https://my.calcs.quest/profile.php?uid=275

Edit: Here is a post I made not to long ago and i had to switch to TILP2 https://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18645&highlight=
It's the TI−das touch! It started with TI releasing OS 5.3.1, then removing ASM functionality, then removing the charging light & headphones jacks, and now this...
Yep. : (
