I plugged my CE into the Windows computer, and then, just out of curiosity, I opened the connected device window in settings, and the CE showed up as "TI-84 Plus CE". Underneath it said "Driver unavailable." Does anyone know what that means?
It means you don't have the device driver installed.
you can download it from the ti website: https://education.ti.com/en/products/computer-software/ti-connect-ce-sw
I have TI-Connect, but I was just wondering what it meant by driver, and if it would be possible to make my own program to install a driver or something like that.
A driver is a software module that interfaces between the hardware and the operating system, so what you are describing doesn't make sense.
