Help: FrameColor not working

I've tried a lot but it only shows the border colours if I spam open the program but disappears immediately. Why is that? hoa can I do it properly?
For reference, I too am puzzled by this function... I never got it to work.

In CGDoom I was able to use another function to change the frame to black, but that's pretty much all.
