I am currently looking to attach a SPI monitor to an SPI bus and capture traffic. The SPI bus operates at a maximum of 48MHz, at 3.3V. I am trying to find a voltage translator to step down to 1.8V that will be able to be isolated enough from the bus itself and have efficient rise/fall times in order to capture the best signal on the lower voltage side.

Any suggestions on how this should be done would be much appreciated!
There are probably cleverer ways to do it (because all the signals in SPI are unidirectional), but I'd reach for a level shifter IC like a SN74LV1T34 which is specified for under 8ns delay.

Various nonsense with just diodes or resistors could be done, but you'd end up dumping more power than you might otherwise.
