Giving out piles of karma to your friends for no reason is generally frowned upon. Admins can reset your karma and can ban you, so I would advise against it.
EDIT: For those who don't know, when I found out that the karma bot was coded by a 5 year old and can be easily tricked into giving me a bunch of karma, Kerm banned me and reset mine.
I said this in SAX as well:
To PT, Kerm, and other admins: I am extremely sorry for what I did. It was irresponsible and immature. I don't know what made me think it was a good idea and in hindsight, it should have never occured to me as such. My intention was to never make your job harder and please believe me that it was in no way intended to be malicious. I know that intentions don't mean a whole lot and therefore I fully accept any punishments that you feel are necessary. I just have one thing to ask: please don't permenantly ban me. I love this community and I would never do anything to intentionally hurt it. It is amazing what you do here. I know now that what I did was wrong. Again, I'm sorry and hopefully you can forgive me for my mistakes.
