I get a "RAM cleared" message on my TI-84 CE every time I turn it on. No previous calculations are saved on screen. Can I fix this or is this a feature? My calc is currently running on the latest version.
Try pressing the reset button on the back of the calc.
If this doesn't work, try resetting the calculator and re-sending the OS:
    1) Hold [2nd] and [del] at the same time.
    2) While still holding the buttons, press the reset button on the back of the calc.
    3) When the no OS found screen appears, press clear a few times.
    4) When that's done, plug the calc into a computer.
    5) Download the new OS from here
    6) Send it to the calc with TI-Connect CE or TILP II v1.18

This should fix the problem
How would you have gotten a calculator like that in the first place?

Was it a used calculator? Or did you run an ASM/ICE/C/Python program beforehand?
