I just turned on my TI-84 Plus CE, and the screen is white/blank, but it is still recognized by TI Connect. I've tried del 2nd reset like 3 times and I've uploaded/updated the OS to 5.2, but on my literal calculator the screen just stays white and doesn't seem to respond. However, when I plug into TI Connect, the Connect app thinks that the calculator is in complete working condition: I can upload and delete apps/programs/OS's, and I can take "screenshots" of my calculator, but nothing will change or show up on my actual calculator screen. Can anybody help?
Unfortunately, it sounds like there's something physically wrong with your calculator's LCD, based on the symptoms you described (including the VRAM holding the correct contents). Is this a recent change from the calculator working properly? I recommend giving TI a call at 1-800-TI-CARES and see if they can help you out.
