Does anyone know why TI is against Ndless?
Companies in general just usually want close control of the product--especially in things like embedded devices where it's possible to brick something through bad software.
However, TI has not blocked ASM+C on the CE, why do it on the nspire?
TI hasn't blocked ASM or C on the CE, but they haven't released the app-signing key which allows for the making of apps like DoorsCSE. Mateo did find a way to do it though. You might now ask why they didn't do it for the CSE, but I have no clue. Another example would be the iPhone. You can jailbreak it, but it voids Apple's warranty. They don't prevent people from jailbreaking their phones. They just discourage it.
