Hi, I have a Radio Shack EC-4037 calculator that doesn't do anything. I got out my multimeter and it does give voltage to the circuit board and the components that are NOT on the screen, and from that I assume the screen ribbon cable has gone bad. It is a 28 pin ribbon cable, and I have a question. What gauge wire should I use to replace the ribbon cable with? The screen ribbon cable's connectors are around the same size as TI 83+ ribbon cable connectors.

Any suggestions? Graphing Calculator
I generally use 30-gauge wire (see the topic outlining those repairs) for TI-83 Plus LCD ribbon cable repairs. Hopefully replacing that cable does the trick, although I'd also worry that since 1995, the PROM has degraded.
