Now that 2017 is behind us, let's take a minute to reflect on our New Years resolutions. Did you accomplish or make progress on any?

In 2017, Cemetech's notable headlines were:

Let's look forward to 2018, what are your New Years Resolutions for 2018?
Happy new year! 2017 was definitely an awesome year, especially my promotion to admin! Very Happy I'm also more than happy that the C version of ICE is definitely released, along with some minor updates. For a more general view, I really like it that there are tons of programs released, useful tools released, and more awesome stuff. Keep going, Cemetech! My programming goal of 2018 is releasing more games (I actually still need to finish some..), and continue to improve SourceCoder, jsTIfied, and of course Cemetech itself. Smile
Glad to hear it PT_! I look forward to the programs you release and the improvements you have planned.

As for myself, I didn't make any 2017 Resolutions but I'm using my accomplishments to make my first resolutions in 2018: My Professional Development. I pursued and obtained two certifications last year; I became a Notary Public and a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (or CEAS). I want to go for CEAS II this year and maybe even III, but I might go for that level in 2019.

I started diving much more into web development than I have in previous years, all while making substantial progress on a project website. Later this year I plan to use that project site as an entry into mobile app programming and eventually using that as a gateway into other languages.

More personal resolutions are to get in better physical shape and travel more for photos. I've got a 15k race this coming Sunday (January 7th). I'll use that as a baseline and work towards getting better over the year. I traveled a bit in 2017 but mostly for leisure but in 2018 and beyond I want to travel for the purpose of photography. I plan on visiting Hawaii, Wisconsin, and Arizona. I'll be in Oregon as well but for recreation, I'll definitely bring a camera but no gear for night shots.
PT_'s promotion was only this year? Whoa! He's so experienced!

Yep, and thanks. Smile
In 2018, I'd really like to see post replies in PMs (rather than email), an improvement to the ranking system (which I have PM'd Kerm about though I haven't received a reply), and the new uploads tab making a comeback Razz

(Also, the Upload Menu which I suggested would be much appreciated ^-^)

Hope all of this can be accomplished! I have a feeling I'm not the only one who feels this way L:
Let's see...

I pretty much released all of my program I've made so far in 2017.

I also competed in CC20.
I poked Kerm about Doors 9 way too many times. Razz
I made most of my 536 posts during 2017
I achieved 40th place in the Karma scoreboard
I somehow became the 2nd or 3rd most posting person in SAX? (if I remember correctly)
I made a bunch of accounts on other calc websites (though I really only visit Cemetech Very Happy )
I started learning (and breaking) ICE and SC
I'll probably think of more things later.

I think you misunderstood the topic Razz We're not asking about changes you'd like to see made to Cemetech in 2018 but rather: What did you accomplish in 2017? And, what are your 2018 New Years Resolutions?

Feel free to post suggestions in the appropriate area of the forum though!

I accomplished learning ICE in 2017! My biggest new year's resolution is to be more active and get outside more, so I guess less time on my CE Razz (if that were possible Laughing )
In 2017, I decided I had to start learning more programming languages, so I learned a lot of ICE, and attempted C, at which I failed...Razz

A new year's resolution would be either mastering ICE or learning a bit more C so I can finish Unicorn's DoodleJumpCE...
In 2017, I think I developed my Java and VBS skills much more than ever before, which I am very happy about because moving away from ti-basic had been on my to-do list for a long time (before 2017, I'd say I knew some crude levels of both Java and VBS, but now I actually prefer them over ti-basic for completing random tasks.)
I'm also very happy that I got to make an appearance at maker fair and meet Kerm, Geekboy, Quazz, Pieman and Botboy face to face.
Partly hosting CC19 was a blast, although it probably wasn't the most popular or well put-together contest Rolling Eyes
Hopefully in 2018, I can work some more on my Javascript and Java skills, and maybe attend maker fair 2018, assuming it will take place (and a bunch of other parameters are set just right Razz)
I think it might be fun to make a competition where all languages are allowed, which might help with getting more people involved, and could also be interesting because coders who know many languages would get to choose a language, which might result in more creative solutions.
My New Years Resolution for 2018: Release BasicNote CE by the summer, if not sooner.
