I am taking AP Computer Science this year in school and we needed to recreate the dice game "Craps" for one of our labs. The only thing is that my teacher had us skip over the betting section as he considered it too complicated at the moment. I finished the program and felt confident I could make it on my calculator but with betting in BASIC. I'm only 17 so I've never actually gambled so I want to confirm the betting as I find the wikipedia article a bit confusing.
If you bet "Pass," you win if the come-out is a 7 or 11 OR if the point is rolled before a 7 is rolled.
If you bet "Don't Pass," you win if the come-out is a "crap" or a 7 is rolled before the point is rolled.
If you bet on a number, ie. 4, you win if a 4 is rolled before a 7 or the point is rolled.
I do not understand how the "Come" and "Don't Come" bets work so I haven't added them in yet and if those could be explained to me that would be very helpful
. Right now, the program currently looks like this:
If you bet "Pass," you win if the come-out is a 7 or 11 OR if the point is rolled before a 7 is rolled.
If you bet "Don't Pass," you win if the come-out is a "crap" or a 7 is rolled before the point is rolled.
If you bet on a number, ie. 4, you win if a 4 is rolled before a 7 or the point is rolled.
I do not understand how the "Come" and "Don't Come" bets work so I haven't added them in yet and if those could be explained to me that would be very helpful
