So I will soon be the owner of a commodore VIC-20 (probably) so I've been brushing up on commodore BASIC using this emulator and of course, the first thing I try to program (after getting a feel for the language) is boxman. Now, I've gotten a ways into this project already but I am having a real hard time getting this one line not to give a syntax error:
Code:
it's really weird because it does actually print the appropriate character but throws a syntax error after that. Any ideas? Really stumped on this one.
Code:
240 IF (18-I) > BOXES(J) THEN PRINT "■"; ELSE PRINT ".";
it's really weird because it does actually print the appropriate character but throws a syntax error after that. Any ideas? Really stumped on this one.
