As something fun I wanted to do, I did a screen on test of my 84 Plus CE (with around 3-6 battery cycles on it), and it turns out the S-O time is really good on it. At full brightness, I got around 14 hours and 30 minutes of S-O time (compared to around 4 hours on a smartphone), so I'm wondering what you guys get.
To properly do the screen on test:
- Flash the TIMER program to your calculator: https://www.cemetech.net/scripts/countdown.php?/84pcse/basic/programs/Timer.zip&path=archives
- Fully charge your TI-84 Plus CE (until the LED light turns green)
- When it's still plugged in, set your screen brightness (do 2nd, Up and Down on the D-Pad multiple times) to normal, dark, or bright, or whatever you want
- After you unplug it, immediately start the timer program, then monitor your calculator to see what it gets at the end.
As a quick note, the battery indicator stays at 100% across the test, even though towards the 12-13 hour mark, the battery was pretty low, anyone know why it does this?
Have fun!
