So I rebranded the Modern UI as Windows 10 Educational, and the clock and calendar are fixed (sorry about all that confusion!). A new build will be coming soon, with a new OOBE for those who didn't know how to setup (pretty much everybody). I just need your help and opinion on two things.
First, are the Strings the only place where you can store text? This could cause a great burden on some of the upcoming apps...
Second, the new apps. I am in the midst of developing them. I just need your consideration on the UI of them. So here goes...

Finally, the build you guys saw was one of the older ones. The UI for the lock screen is faster, smaller, and I got rid of the Quick Actions. Settings will have Storage Sense and Date and Time settings, and well, those apps and others will be making an appearance. What do you love and hate about the UI so far? Should I implement transparency?
EDIT: I'm being serious about these apps. I actually figured out ways to effectively implement these features.
Just an update on Cortana for the TI 84+ CSE.
I finished the halo icon and the UI for the calculator. Cortana knows what your favorite color is (that you set in Settings), and the halo syncs with that color. Cortana is one of the first apps to support the dark and light themes, which first debuted in the last build (Photos BETA was the only app that supported it at the time). Cortana currently can interpret calculations, give you the date and time, one-word queries, and set reminders. Again, a build is coming soon, along with a Fitness app, new Alarms, and a Messaging app. Here are some photos.

ALSO:
The next build will have a new OOBE and save data feature, along with Storage Sense.
I seem to like it! And if I remember, you can store strings in lists.

PS. From the names of the pictures, I assume you used a Windows Phone
In reality, no. Technically, yes. I'm using a build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview (build undisclosed), and the new Photos app uses the WinRT universal programming platform. So, the same code for the Windows Phone Photos app is used on the desktop version. I actually took the picture on my laptop.

That makes sense. Nice to see a fellow Insider on Cemetech! (even though I'm not internal)
Cortana's UI has adjusted slightly. She looks like her Windows Phone 8.1 counterpart, on the exception of the command buttons being on the bottom. The flag icon is also present, and that took a LOT a work with ASCII characters. Reminders sync with the lock screen, and I'm working on geofencing so Cortana can preform certain tasks when you reach a certain place, for example backing up when you get home. To do this, I'm going to have to make a location services agreement (in the OOBE) to permit this. Does it sound (and look) good so far?

What queries do you want Cortana to have? I have the ground framework done, it literally takes two seconds to add commands.

This is Cortana in action.

In the video (ignore my face), you will see Cortana functioning as a reminder service, giving useful information like date and time, and responding to normal queries. Normally, you would say your query, but on a calculator... Instead, there are one word actions (unless you guys want me to change that), and they work pretty well (sorry for my slowness in the video, I'll make another, more formal, one soon).

You will also see Cortana's dynamic ability to change themes and responses. Cortana's halo is the background color you set in Settings. Dark and light themes are present in this app, and this wasn't simple to do. 4000 bytes of code just for the framework (not just the theme, that took 4 lines)! You will also see a glimpse of the redesigned Settings app, and I implemented single-save data in a WNDWS list.

Again, any more queries you guys want? When CALCnet is released (PLEASE RELEASE IT), I can implement things like the weather and returning Bing searches.

TO DO:
Location services
Search bar?
Sounds and voice output (using NOTEMAN framework)
Developer API (if you guys want to add commands to other apps)

Again, build coming soon! You will most likely lost all data and configuration from the last build.

P.S. Lowercase is supported, just didn't show that in the video.
Used Google to redirect to OneDrive. Nice Very Happy

This looks better than I thought! Any possibility of monochrome calc support?

What did you think it would look like? Confused

Maybe, if there's enough support for it when it's released, and if my friend will let me borrow his. Is the UI good so far?

It's great so far! (Just need Hey Cortana Very Happy)

is this BASIC or ASM?
This is Hybrid BASIC, but for more advanced functions later I might use ASM (like power off, lock, etc). I'm seriously thinking about audio output, but I would need help doing audio input. If only CALCnet was here...
CalcNet does not provide audio assistance. It provides internet access. Mateo and Kerm are porting mobiletunes 3 to te CSE, I don't know if you could acces a microphone throught the I/O port.

It's always possible!
Calcnet could be a bridge between audio input/voice recognition and the calculator, though.
True, true. But I was referring to getting Bing queries from the Internet and receiving them on the calculator.
I am planning on porting this to the monochrome calcs, but not without your permission of course!

P.S. 10041 looks great!

Update:
Added the OOBE for Cortana
Added search box and moved hamburger menu
Halo icon improvements with color contrasting
Lowercase

Upcoming:
Adding times to reminders with days
More commands
Next build will probably be released tomorrow or Friday

Eightx84: Sure, but wait until I release the API though, so both versions can sync content.

P.S. Just wait until the taskbar UI is changed for you guys in a future Windows 10 desktop build. It looks awesome!

This looks better than any amount of work and time I would put into anything!

P.S. I'm guessing more color, blur, and transparency.

This build features Cortana and the new OOBE. In future builds, the OOBE will be a migrate feature instead of an in-place upgrade.

Setup:
Transfer the files to your calculator and run START. This OOBE is similar to Windows 8.x, and more things will be added in the future. You should delete the program after first use.

Cortana:
An early build is now available. You can click F1-F4 for the search bar, and F5 to access the menu. A Cortana OOBE is also there, and will take you through the setup steps.
She accepts one word queries such as REMIND, CALC, EXIT, DATE, YEAR, TIME, ETC. More commands will be added, and please give me suggestions!

Known bugs:
Storage Sense doesn't work in this build
Cortana's Notebook won't work
Cortana's text box may not show what you typed
Reminders don't show up yet, the lock screen hasn't been released
Photos key presses are slow (hold buttons) and numbers show up

Weather is coming
