Sure, it's not possible to do in pure basic, but it isn't too bad to do in either Axe or assembly, or even some other libraries. Looking at past posts, seems like Hybrid basic is the one. What would you prefer? Smile
I prefer some third party libraries, like real() etc. Axe is not available for the C Silver Edition, btw
I believe that DoorsCSE offers Celtic, and from there you can simply do a det(4), and Str0 holds the name of the AppVar.

You can find more about it here:
http://dcs.cemetech.net/index.php/DCSE:BasicLibs:CreateVar
MateoConLechuga is exactly correct. To create an AppVar in Hybrid BASIC on the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, you would use the CreateVar call in Celtic 2 CSE within Doors CSE. Also, I have moved this topic to the TI-BASIC subforum, which is the best possible home for it. Feel free to ask follow-up questions!
my calculator only creates a program with my test name and not an appvar

Here's the info taken directly from the DCSE SDK guide:
"To use an AppVar instead of a program as input, prepend the string with the "rowSwap(" token."

Also, you can find a ton of information here as well. Smile

oke thanks. i have an example: the xsprites. now i have read the first line of this appvar, but this exists of 1000 times LinReg(.. hmm
how can i create simple a (very) small sprite, ofc with an picIndex for the read() command?

Edit: 8076 times and 30 times Output(
I would recommend that you look at this here:
http://dcs.cemetech.net/index.php/DCSE:BasicLibs:ReadLine

Along with this sprite routine and the one below it. Smile

http://dcs.cemetech.net/index.php/DCSE:BasicLibs:BufSpriteSelect

Also, I wan't quite sure what you wanted, so I linked the best info that I could find. Razz
oke thanks.
what i exactly want, is how to create an appvar with a picture in it like a smiley. this smiley or something else can 'walk' upon a background, like 1 vs 1 soccer, do you know this? and when closing the game, that some variables will save in the appvar.
so i want to things:
- a picture (smiley or person) who can move randomly by pressing a key
- a background, which can also scroll

something like this:

http://spele.nl/1-tegen-1-voetbal-spel/
and then with the variables
- x-pos player1 and player2
- y-pos player1 and player2
- x+y-pos ball
- score of both

you understand? but my main reason is to know how it exactly works.
thank you in advance.. Smile

btw, im dutch Cool
