Celtic seems to break when dealing with the last line of an appvar. Pulling from my sprite data (32x32 sprite) on the last line, it created a string that was 16,394 bytes in size, when the appvar itself was only 12,315 bytes in size. Added a line after the last line, fixed the issue.
Not sure if this has been brought up as an issue before, I just found it myself.
In creating a simple program:
Ans->X
when I run it from 'command line'/main window
Doors CSE puts up a message 'Outdated Doors CSE
you have Doors CSE 8.0, but this program is for a newer version...
I'm not even using doors CSE but the main window.
also doors doesn't show the program in the menu.

I have been able to trigger this Error: ? bug twice today: one on my calculator during school and one on jsTIfied (a first).
Both were triggered when I tried to edit a pure Basic program. Both had DoorCSE on them.
TIFreak8x indicated that when he accidentally replicated this bug today, the TI-BASIC editor was not enhanced, even though he had the setting for it enabled: scrolling was slow, Instant Goto didn't happen, and the program name was not in the status bar. Has that been the case for you as well?

Ans as the first token of a program is a special type of Doors CSE TI-BASIC header to make Doors CSE hide the program from the DCSE desktop. However, the fact that it pops up that error message when you run the program from the homescreen (a circumstance I've been able to replicate) is a bug.
In my case, I believe that the Basic program editor appeared without the Enhanced Basic Editor. Once the screen was done updating and displayed the code, it immediately errored. This means that I could not manipulate the code or the editor at all.
Feature request-ish:
Earlier versions of doors cs could run a program known as "document de", however this does not run on the new calculator due to different screen dimensions.
If a version of document de were made for the cpse It would be quite useful
At this point, that would have to be a totally separate and probably slightly bloated program. Might work better as an application, overall, might give the ability to make it look nicer and have better functionability than being stuck in a program that has to be somewhat small.
Not sure if this counts as the troubleshooting thread, but I've got an issue opening third party programs. Anything I program manually opens and operates just as it would if I used the PRGM button, but all the programs I've downloaded give a syntax error when opened. Deleting, clearing RAM, and re-downloading (both the OS and the programs) haven't had an effect. Help?
Can you give an example of a program that you've downloaded that doesn't work properly?
So far, I've only attempted games while following a video tutorial. I've tried pong and snakes; listing urls in respective order.

If you need it, I can send a screen cap of the error window since it doesn't have an error code to reference.
No need. All of those programs are TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus programs, meaning that they work with the calculators with monochrome 96x64 screens. Due to the hardware changes in the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, none of those games and programs will work with the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition. Try exploring this folder:

Thanks! I'm still understanding the basics of applying programs to TI calculators, so I didn't think there would be an issue outside of their OS's.

Now you know! With few exceptions, TI-84+CSE ASM and BASIC programs work on the TI-84+CSE, and TI-83+/TI-84+ ASM and BASIC programs work on the TI-83 Plus, TI-83 Plus Silver Edition, TI-84 Plus, and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. The few exceptions are a small handful of trivial TI-BASIC math programs, but they're such a small exception as to not be worth diluting the overall rule.
*bump* To keep myself from completely forgetting, the pending bug reports and planned features for the next version of Doors CSE:
Known Bugs:
[_] Running Ans-hidden BASIC programs from the homescreen produces the DCSE version error message
[_] Hard-to-track Error: ? bug
[X] Theta character cannot be typed in the folder/rename/new field
[_] ArcUnarcVar shouldn't draw an hour glass on the screen
[X] ColorLine call broken due to calling wrong pixel routine
[_] Leftover DrawShape mode setting described
in this post
[_] ReplaceLine bug detailed
in this post
Feature Requests:
[_] ArcUnarcVar should take an optional argument, 0 for Arc, 1 for RAM, so it can work as more than just a toggle
[_] Menu option or homescreen icon to run Apps (see Runer112's post)
Edit: For future reference, to everyone in general, pestering me via my personal email address because I'm not implementing something fast enough for your tastes is a great way to make me want to not want to work on something. The forum is the right place to request features and report bugs in most cases.
So... is the apps in DoorsCSE thing working yet?
Given that there isn't an X next to that field, I'm guessing no.
Request:
det(13,SEARCHPARAM
SEARCHPARAM:
1- All programs/appvars
2- All programs
3- All appvars
Stored back to Str9, names separated via symbol of your choosing (As in you, Kerm, not the user)
This function would be good for programs/games to verify all sub programs are installed, and allow for games to check for level packs.

All of the items without Xs are not yet done, as Merth pointed out. Emailing me won't make me finish it any faster (but bumping this thread might).
Tifreak: duly noted. I doubt I will make it for the next release, but hopefully the one after that.
DCSE8 doesn't play well with the TI-Keyboard for me (that is, it causes a freeze requiring a reset) in the program editor.
Oh, and I forgot, had you mentioned why On+Stat doesn't APD the calc while under DCSE? I do almost always edit programs through DCSE, and almost never through TI-OS.
Hey Kerm, just wondering how much code realestate is there for xLIB related stuff?
I was also wondering if there was a target date in mind?

Code: Page 0 is 15883 bytes long (501 bytes to spare)
Page 1 is 13247 bytes long (3137 bytes to spare)
xLIBC is currently on Page 1. It would be really cool if I could jam the App-browsing and running stuff into the 501 bytes on Page 0, but I really should allow at least 1KB for that. I also need to allow 200-300 bytes for the Celtic II CSE fixes and additions I plan to make, leaving you at most about 2KB to work with. I don't have any specific ideas for a deadline, although at the latest I want to release 8.1 by June 1st, as I start my summer internship soon thereafter.
