Are you sure you have the right wires in the right places? Did you use a continuity tester or multimeter to double-check? Those are stripped stupendously long; are you sure the exposed parts are not touching each other? What kind of Arduino are you using? Did you verify that the gCnClient is able to connect to the Arduino properly?
