OK, so I finally got around to trying to install PrizmSDK on this machine. Problem is, I forget how I did it on my other one.
I took a look at the setup guide and it says that if I have arch I can install cross-sh3eb-elf-binutils,cross-sh3eb-elf-gcc, and mkg3a with the package manager.
I have Ubuntu, not Arch.
My first question is whether these packages will work: http://wiki.debian.org/SH4/CrossToolchain
Should I just follow that tutorial step-by-step, then install mkg3a, then download and extract PrizmSDK and tell it where my cross toolchain is?

EDIT2: just FYI, make all-gcc and make install-gcc ran with no errors.
EDIT3: I also have made sure that i ran configure with export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/cross/bin set.
