I figured this out. Until kerm releases the new version, we can get screenshots by doing this:
1. Add this code to the main loop of your program:
if zmg.keyDirect(68)>0 then zmg.keyMenu() end
2. Open Screen Receiver (comes with the trial version of fx-CG Manager and works forever)
3. Connect calc to PC, select "Screen Receive"
4. Your screen should now show up in screen receiver. Go to the LuaZM addin, and run your program.
5. Press [OPTN] and the game will pause, and screen receiver will show a screenshot of the game.
Nice discovery, flyingfisch! I might exploit that for screenshots in general, as a matter of fact. Also: please re-encode these screenshots from the Screen Receiver as PNG instead of BMP. Bitmaps are a really terrible format to use for pretty much anything.
If the game is slowed down enough, would this allow animated GIF screenshots via CalcCapture (set to capture from the screen receiver) that are set to capture at a very slow frame rate but with the playback setup at max FPS?

That would theoretically work fine, but it would be particularly painful to take screenshots that way, in my opinion. You're better off with a tripod and a decent camera at that point, I feel.
Is there any other getkey routine that screenreceiver likes that isn't blocking?
