Apparently, some advertising guy decided to put a full featured smartphone to use as an ad in the Entertainment Weekly magazines, worth around $80 retail. It's a REAL phone - you can place a call with it, and there's a camera attached. However, only 1,000 of these magazines were distributed, and they can only be found in NYC or LA.





Right now, I have a (somewhat) verbal commitment for KermM to try to get me one. Anyone else interested in nabbing one of these guys for their hardware projects?

Basically, I need to try to find a newsstand that carries them, and at 4pm on a Sunday, I don't really have a good chance of finding a lot of newsstands that are open. However, when I go to work tomorrow, I can pass four newsstands and/or delis with magazines along the way, so I can look for it then. Don't get your hopes up; 500 magazines in a city the size of New York is a needle in a haystack.

Welp, I just spent an hour going to various newsstands and book stores. All of them had no Entertainment Weekly or the October 12th one, I'm sad to say, so no luck.
