An excellent new book by Donald Benson: The Ballet of the Planets.

Discusses the history of our understanding of planetary movement from earth-centered to sun-centered. Beautiful diagrams illustrate how the seemingly strange movements of planets across the sky were interpreted.

Highly recommended as an introduction to our solar system.
Sounds like a cool book, thanks for the recommendation. What's the target audience? High school students, adults, scientists, the general public?
