show me, because if they are server, they use opterons. Dual core opterons exist, but they aren't X2's

X2's CANNOT be used in multi-chip configurations, as the hyper transport bridges that would connect them in a multi-chip configuration do not exist. That is what seperates the opteron from the desktop chips (64s/X2s)

If its called a server motherboard, it uses a SERVER CPU, which would be an opteron. But that is irrelevant, as there CAN'T be any dual-CPU X2 mobo's, due to the cut hypertransport lanes

i fail to see how that is relevant at all. No one said that no one else made ATI-powered cards, it was only stated that ATI DOES make their own cards, whereas nVidia doesn't.
