Why does everyone like to say 'ps aux' when 'ps -fled' is much better?
Advantages of 'ps -fled':
[*] More columns of information
[*] Wider output
[*] More letters of the command on keyboard home row
Well, I use just ps -A, so you see
I tend to get lost on outputs with lots of data, and ps -A usually tells everything I need.
I use `ps aux' because: I don't have to hit the - key, it tells me everything I need to know (like, PID and name, so I can grep and kill them if I need to), and because it's what I've always used. `ps -fled' gives way to much information, imho. Especially when 3 of the descriptions of what each column is, are 1 letter (What's an F, S, or C?).
