hi guys, its been a while since ive made a post, ive kinda moved out of the calculator programing area, and more into web and computer programing. anyways, here is a port of a game i made a few years back for the calculator, but this time in java on the computer! it also has a online highscore board which (untill recently) was impossible with the calculator. anyways try it out, give me suggestions ect. its still a work in progress so theres bound to be some bugs
Hi Rhombus P, thanks for posting again. No problem that you've been moving away from calculator programming; I hope that you will continue to share your computer programming projects with us! I'll try to get a chance to try this out soon; any chance of some screenshots? Can you give us more of a description of the game?
There's a lot of programmers here (me and Kerm included), that highly dislike Java as a language though it doesn't make us think less of your game, no worries there
More like what's right with Java? (nothing ). I feel that the language teaches beginning programmers bad programming practices and is unnecessarily confusing for beginners, not to mention being slow and clunky.
Edit: And I should mention that I've taught Java at a beginner and advanced level, so I have enough familiarity to breed that hatred.
Put more succinctly by Nikky! Although your argument unfortunately falls prey to Hitchen's Razor, Nikky.
