I like that idea, especially since it would save about 1.3KB in this particular program. Smile
but the levels won't be going from easy to hard.
I started something similar to lights off but never got finished, hope yours get completed.

You could easily generate levels in a way so that easier ones only have one or two areas picked on a grid that have surrounding dots flipped as well, whereas later levels can have something like 10 dots and surrounding cells inverted, making for a possibly messy (and fun to solve) game.
Your version looks really awesome for such a simple game, but as benryves said, it's usually called LightsOut (even if a certain iPhone version calls it LightsOff). People might recognize it more easily by the first nameā€”just a suggestion Smile

Oooh, I support this proposal, I'd love to see that attempted! You could even implement that as well if you don't want to replace your current level sequence, as a way to generate random levels of random difficulty for users to try.
Gotcha! I like this idea, and it'll definitely save on space.

Huzzah! So are you supplementing the built-in levels with random levels with this method, or replacing the built-in levels entirely?
I think I'll replace the built-in levels entirely. There's not much point once you get the random generator in Razz

Huzzah, then we had a positive effect! Smile You said this was going to be a zContest entry, right? How's it looking for meeting the December 1st deadline?
