I think it is the overall winner/runner ups that get prizes

Runner up prizes are the special USB cables
You know what?

I don't care if I don't win.

I'm entering the ASM section of the contest!
I can say that I went up against BrandonW in a contest!

BRING IT ON!

You'll definitely get bragging rights, and if you enter something even halfway decent, you'll probably still get at least second place! Very Happy Gogogogo.

Yup, USB power injector cables that both let you plug in normal USB devices to your calculator (an adapter) as well as give them more power than the calculator can supply on its own (an injector).

@qazz: *Chameleon.
Kerm, will the calculators come with link cables? I dont have any I/O cables.

Wait...

So, the prizes aren't even per category? o.o
So, this ASM program must beat out all other entries to get the calc?
Souvik, you don't have any computer-calculator cables, or calculator-calculator cables?

Raylin: there are TWO calculators, read the first post. The ASM category and BASIC category each will have a first-prize winner. The grand prize winner from among those two people will get to choose which calculator they want; the other first-place winner will get the other one. Up to four second and third-place winners will get USB adapters/injectors.
Kerm, i use the directlink cable that came with my ti84+SE
i use the miniB to miniB usb cable for calc to calc communication

Ah, so you don't have either an I/O to I/O cable or a SilverLink.

Yes.
I wasn't planning on providing any link cables, but I'll see what I can scrounge up. For now, though, I need to cut apart all the I/O cables that I can to build my CALCnet2.2 networking testbed.

oh, that sounds better!
You knew that already though, right Qazz? I didn't realize there was any confusion that there were two calculators that would be given away.
*bump* Five days to go! I hope everyone is hard at work! Smile
Whew, I sent my last TI-MAIL

I cant wait to release it.

I am glad that you came up with a program that you're happy with, and that you were able to take it through so many revisions and improvements. Now we just need to see how all the entries stack up, since we'll have so many good entries to choose from in the BASIC/Hybrid category. It's gonna be painful for me to not be able to award prizes to some of the entries. Sad
