Description

An experimental 8-bit quantized GRU language model that generates text entirely
in standard TI-Nspire Python without Ndless, internet access, or an API.

CalcGPT 3 is an open experimental neural language model for the TI-Nspire CX II. The Mac trainer builds a 640-token, 30-state word-level GRU from DailyDialog and exports signed 8-bit weights for a dependency-free TI Python inference engine. The calculator interface includes wrapped chat, scrolling, input controls, dialogue-act and emotion conditioning, ordered prompt associations, and ranked two-candidate generation. A ready-to-run E40 TNS, resumable checkpoint, trainer, exporter, calculator source, screenshots, documentation, known issues, and an improvement roadmap are included. This is a research demonstration, not a reliable assistant: responses often lack semantic understanding. No Ndless is required.
