You could ace the SAT, and spend hours trying to figure out the 89. Some people just have a knack for things. Only way to know is for you to actually get one and try it.
A little off topic, but the SAT, if memory serves correctly, is used for colleges and universities to help judge who should enter their school and who shouldn't. Could be totally wrong, though... |

Actually the SAT is the Stanford Achievement Test, its main purpose is to give the government an idea of what you have learned during your 5th, 8th, and 11th grade years. The test you're thinking about is the ACT, you have to pay money to take it (which was around $90 per attempt when I was younger), this is a timed test, and you could usually only take it on saturday mornings.

So how, in 9th grade, are they going to test what I learned in 5th?
Edit: | Quote: | SAT I
The SAT is a three-hour test that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning skills students have developed over time and skills they need to be successful academically. Many colleges and universities use the SAT as one indicator among others-class rank, high school GPA, extracurricular activities, personal essay, and teacher recommendations-of a student's readiness to do college-level work. SAT scores are compared with the scores of other applicants, and the accepted scores at an institution, and can be used as a basis for awarding merit-based financial aid.
The SAT is scored on a scale of 200-800 (for math and verbal) and is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors. The test is administered several times a year. |

| I don't know, but I think it has to do with when I addressed two topics in the same post. |

Only if someone updates it.
On the other hand, the specs state that the 89Ti will basically be an 89 with more memory and some preloaded things. (Plus the USB.) So, who knows, it just might anyway. |

Is there anyone even willing to update Virtual TI?

I would think the people who are working on VTI are willing to update it...

| I think VTI 3.0 Alpha is only being worked on as of now. However, I believe the source code for VTI 2.5 Beta 5 is at ticalc.org. Perhaps someone could update it themselves. |

They'd have to have permission from the people who are making VTI now.
Of course, you could just change the skin and hope no one notices... |

| VTI 2.5 Beta 5 is open source, isn't it? Why would they need permission? |
