Obviously there were technical difficulties on Christmas...
Not to mention the fact that JBirk was on vacation...give the guy a break, we all need one from time to time.

Jbirk, i forgive you (if it is only me and AlienCC that do, then so be it)
why cant you guys just wait?!?! do you want a buggy crappy version that will discourage you from wanting the real perfect version when it comes out?
hmm, just my 2¢ |

HEY! I edited that...
it's not supposed to have the code(an accidental button press) and it should include the fact that I figured it was due to server outages.
anyway, hope to see nimbus soon(by january 15th)...and no convenient server outages! |

| Looks like there'll have to be a pucrunch decompressor added to support CrunchyOS. |

We are not actually interested in supporting CrunchyOS; however, we are interested in the compression.
Essentially, we would settle for compression/decompression support. We would simply place an icon to show wheather or not the program is crushed.
We would support writeback.

| A shell by DWEdit that gets relatively dramatic compression of programs. There's an article in the Assembly forum. |

I got to chekc that article out. Perhaps Dwedit would like to join Nimbus by bringing us his support for compression.
Essentially, I would like NimbusOS to be able to compress and decompress programs on the fly.
I would add an asm header to all programs with the ret instruction, so TIOS won't try to make them run in their compressed state. Under that, I would like some sort of crunced header, so NimbusOS can know the program is crunched or not crunched.
Then the rest of the data should be compressed.
I would uncrunch on the fly too (like crunchyos). |

What about asking him ? It would be great yo have one single shell instead of two on one's 83+ |
