News Backend Upgraded; New Admin
Published by KermMartian on November 13, 2005 at 4:14:45 PM CST | Discuss this article
Today I completed the second of the three steps in upgrading Cemetech to a completely PHP/MySQL-based backend. The first, making the projects page database-driven, was completed on this past Friday. Today I upgraded the news backend; the index, admin backend, and RSS feeds were all upgraded. I imported all of the old news articles; my only remaining tasks for part two are the sidebar and the News page. The third of the three steps, upgrading the file archives to a database-founded schema, will occur some time this week.
I would also like to announce the creation of a second administrator, Jonathan Pezzino, to help TI-Freak8x help me maintain the site. He will be editing news, adding the occassional news article, and watching the forums. I look forward to being able to offer the ultimate user experience with this additional help.
