Cemetech Website Restored
Published by KermMartian on July 21, 2005 at 12:00:00 AM CST | Discuss this article
After about a week of catastrophic server errors after the Cemetech server was hacked and then suspended because of the problem, the website is once again fully operational. I was able to retrieve all of the missing news article from Conglomerate (TI-News.net), and I had the database for the forum backed up at the beginning of the month. Unfortunately, among the 7MB of the SQL file, about 6,500 posts seem to be missing. The references to the posts are intact, but the contents of the posts in questions simply was not in the backup. This is unfortunate, but any pressing lost info can be found in the cache at MSN.com. I'd especially like to thank Rivereye for his invaluable help reuploading the database with all the forum data. Thanks also to xTheLostx for his generous offer of temporary hosting. Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope all the members flock back here!
