So, Hasbro is recently releasing some information about season 3.
Many speculate the return of 2nd best pony: Trixie!
Hasbro hinted at this before. If it turns out to be true, then we've got a good TrixieXTwilight episode coming up.

There was a season 7 episode of Power Rangers where the pink ranger died(the actress had leukemia and had to take time off for chemo) and then came back obi-wan style to pass on the mantle of the Pink ranger to a reformed villainess from the previous incarnation. It was interesting because none of the other rangers were willing to trust her at first except the yellow one, who was connected to animals and the spirit world. I wonder if they'd do anything like that here? Might be a little dark and complex for a children's show, but so was the aforementioned Power Ranger story arc. |

I honestly doubt they would ever do that, the darkest they've ever gotten was the Royal Wedding episode... which wasn't dark by those standards at all  However, if they kill off Rarity... I ain't complaining much.

Well that wouldn't make much sense. Trixie has always been a mirror of Twilight, and the magic to return from beyond the grave is something that would be beyond all but the most learned of students. |

She definitely needs to become a permanent member of ponyville like Zecora.

This is beyond being totally awesome. As a Twilight and Trixie fan, I truly cannot wait until the S03 pilots come out. This will totally top the Discord pilot and the Royal Wedding.

Indeed; it was revealed a short while back, but it hasn't been confirmed that Discord is returning yet, so I'm not holding my breath that he's playing that role... however, I am indeed glad he's coming back

Who said he would play Discord? He could play something EVEN MORE EVIL? If those exist?
That said, I'm pretty fine with Discord. Best evil character ever, I would be sad if they won't reuse him.

But yeah, Discord was a good character, totally beat out Nightmare Moon and even Chrysalis. They need to have him come back. Since I'm quite confident that MLP will last for many many more seasons (seeing how Hasbro is being great and embracing bronies just as much as the true target audience -- which is great and unexpected) so I'm sure that even if Discord doesn't return in S03 he'll come back sometime.

Maybe Discord will be disguised as somepony else but has the same voice. |
