What are the similarities/differences between application programming and OS programming? What should an OS header look like? What tasks and functions should an OS address?

What is the target platform? z80? x86? SH3?

I looked at the topic, downloaded the files, read the readme's on how to make an OS, and then, after taking an Excedrin, proceeded to delete the files and click off the topic. Wink

Is that your way of telling us that you decided making an OS is slightly above your head for now? Very Happy I'm not sure what exactly to do with that post.
